The 2023 Subaru Forester STI Sport has just been unveiled in Japan, nearly a year after the facelifted model made its global debut.

Subaru Corporation announced the new Forester STI Sport with suspension upgrades and a turbocharged Boxer engine.

The 2023 Forester STI Sport
is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injection (DIT) engine. It produces 175 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.

Forester STI gains a number of tweaks above its lesser variants, the biggest of which is the addition of STI-tuned dampers for better road-holding along with 18-inch alloy wheels.

A range of exterior paint finishes, such as crystal white pearl, magnetite gray metallic, ice silver metallic and crystal black silica, are available to order for domestic
market buyers.

The interior creates a "high-quality space" wrapped in aged and deep Bordeaux x Nappa leather material.

The Forester STI Sport comes equipped with suspension tuning developed by STI with a Hitachi Astemo Sensitive Frequency Response front Damper (SFRD).

Unfortunately for US buyers, the STI Sport likely won't be coming to the local market. But other unique grades could be added to the line-up.
